Launch your voice agent in 15-20 minutes
What is a Voice Agent?
A voice agent is a program that talks to your customers using voice. A customer calls or clicks a button on your website, and the agent responds: greets them, answers questions, and books appointments.
The agent works 24/7, never gets tired, and never forgets information. However, it only knows what you upload to it — so it's important to properly prepare your knowledge base.
What You'll Need
- Email address — you'll receive a confirmation
- Phone number — for verification during registration
- Information about your company (in any format: file, text, price list)
Prepare your business information in advance — company details, services, prices, working hours, and FAQs. This will make setup much faster.
Step 1: Platform Registration
1.1. Open the Website
- Open a browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox — any)
- Type in the address bar: hanc.ai
- Press Enter
You will see the main page of the Hanc.AI platform.
1.2. Start Registration
- Find the "Sign Up" button — usually in the upper right corner
- Click on it
1.3. Fill Out the Registration Form
The platform will ask several questions. Answer them in order:

| Purpose of use | Choose why you need an agent (e.g., "Customer Support" or "Sales"). If unsure — pick any option, you can change it later. |
| Company name | Enter your company or project name. |
| Website or Tell us more | Provide a website address or briefly describe your business. |
| Enter your email address. Notifications will be sent there. | |
| Password | Create a password. Minimum 8 characters. |
| Terms agreement | Check the box next to "Terms and Privacy". |
| How did you hear about us | Select from the list where you heard about the platform. |
1.4. Verify Your Phone Number
- Enter your phone number in international format (e.g., +43 664 123 45 67)
- Complete the "I'm not a robot" check (reCAPTCHA)
- Click the continue button
An SMS with a code will be sent to your phone. Enter this code in the field on the screen.
Email and phone number must be unique — if you've registered before, use different details or log into your existing account.
1.5. Completing Registration
After successful registration, wait 10 seconds. Buttons to enter your personal account will appear. Click any of them.
Result: You're in your Hanc.AI personal account. The main Dashboard is displayed on screen.
Step 2: Creating an Agent
An agent is your virtual employee. Now we'll create one.
2.1. Open the Agents Section
- In the left menu, find "Voice Agents"
- Click on it
2.2. Create a New Agent
- Click the "Create voice agent" button
- A list of templates will appear — ready-made presets for different tasks
- Choose a suitable template (e.g., "Customer Service" for customer support)
A template is just a starting point. All settings can be changed. If you don't know which to choose — pick any.
Result: Agent created! You see the agent settings page.
Step 3: Uploading the Knowledge Base
The knowledge base is a file with information about your company. The agent will answer questions based only on this file. If information isn't in the base — the agent won't be able to answer.
3.1. Open the Knowledge Base Section
- In the left menu, find "Knowledge Base"
- Click on it
3.2. Create a New Base
- Click the "Create" button
3.3. Upload a File
- Click on the upload area or drag and drop a file
- Select a file with company information
Which file to upload? Any of the following will work:
- Your company's price list
- Service descriptions
- Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
- Business hours and contact information
- Any text document with company information

Supported file formats: .pdf, .docx, .txt, .md, .html, .csv
The agent knows ONLY what's written in the knowledge base. If a customer asks about something not in the file — the agent won't be able to answer. Add all important information: services, prices, working hours, address, contacts.
Result: Knowledge base created and uploaded.
Step 4: Agent Configuration
Now we'll connect the agent to the knowledge base and configure its behavior.
4.1. Open Agent Settings
- Go to "Voice Agents" (left menu)
- Find your agent in the list and click on it
4.2. Configure the Model Section
These are the main settings for the agent's "brain".

| Knowledge Base | Click on the dropdown and select the knowledge base you just uploaded. Now the agent will use information from this file. |
| First Message | The phrase the agent will use to greet the customer. Example: "Hello! This is Mary's Beauty Salon. How can I help you?" |
| Agent Prompt | Detailed description of how the agent should behave. See Templates for examples or write your own. |
A prompt is an instruction in human language. For example: "You are a beauty salon administrator. Answer politely. If you don't know the answer — offer to call back".
4.3. Configure the Settings Section

| Language | Select your preferred language — the agent will speak in that language. |
| Voice | Choose a voice for the agent. You can test different options. |
4.4. Save Settings
- Click "Save" or "Update" button
- Wait for confirmation
Result: Agent is configured and ready to test.
Step 5: Testing the Agent
Before launching, test how the agent works.
5.1. Open Testing Mode
- In the agent card, find the "Talk to agent" button
- Click on it
5.2. Start a Conversation
- Allow microphone access in your browser
- Start talking to the agent
- Ask questions about your company — check if the agent answers correctly
5.3. What to Check
- Does the agent greet correctly?
- Does it answer questions about services and prices?
- Does it understand the language correctly?
- Does it behave politely?
If something is wrong — go back to settings and adjust the prompt or knowledge base.
Result: Agent tested and works correctly.
Done!
Your voice agent is ready. Now you can:

Troubleshooting

| Agent doesn't answer questions | Check that the knowledge base is connected and contains the information |
