Account Setup

This guide walks you through creating your Hanc.AI account, verifying your identity, and completing the initial setup.

Before You Begin

You will need:

  • Email address — For account verification and notifications
  • Phone number — For identity verification (SMS code)
  • 5-10 minutes — For the complete setup process

Step 1: Access the Platform

1.1 Open the Registration Page

  1. Open your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge recommended)
  2. Navigate to app.hanc.ai
  3. Click the "Sign Up" button in the top-right corner

Step 2: Create Your Account

2.1 Fill Out the Registration Form

You'll see a registration form with the following fields:

Purpose of Use

Select why you're creating an account:

Company Name

Enter your business or project name.

Examples:

  • "ABC Dental Clinic"
  • "Schmidt & Partner Law Firm"
  • "Maria's Beauty Salon"
  • "TechStart GmbH"

Website or Description

Either:

  • Enter your website URL (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com)
  • Or briefly describe your business (e.g., "Dental clinic in Vienna with 3 dentists")

Email Address

Enter a valid email address. This will be used for:

  • Account verification
  • Password recovery
  • Important notifications
  • Billing communications
Important

Use an email you check regularly. Some features require email verification.

Password

Create a secure password:

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Recommended: Mix of letters, numbers, and symbols

Good password examples:

  • MyDental2024!
  • VoiceAgent#Secure

Avoid:

  • Simple passwords like 123456 or password
  • Personal information like birthdays

Terms Agreement

Check the box to agree to:

  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy

Referral Source

Select how you heard about Hanc.AI:

  • Google Search
  • Social Media
  • Referral
  • Event/Conference
  • Other

Step 3: Phone Verification

3.1 Enter Your Phone Number

  1. Select your country code (e.g., +43 for Austria, +49 for Germany)
  2. Enter your phone number without the leading zero

Format examples:

3.2 Complete CAPTCHA

Click the "I'm not a robot" checkbox and complete any visual challenge if prompted.

3.3 Receive Verification Code

  1. Click "Send Code" or "Continue"
  2. Wait for SMS (usually arrives within 30 seconds)
  3. Enter the 6-digit code in the verification field
Code not arriving?
  • Check you entered the correct number
  • Wait 60 seconds before requesting a new code
  • Check your SMS inbox (not email)
  • Some VoIP numbers may not work

Step 4: Account Confirmation

4.1 Registration Complete

After successful verification:

  1. You'll see a confirmation message
  2. Wait a few seconds for automatic redirect
  3. Click any button to enter your dashboard

Congratulations! Your account is now active.


Step 5: Initial Dashboard Setup

5.1 First Login Experience

When you first enter the dashboard, you may see:

  • Welcome tutorial — Brief platform introduction
  • Quick setup wizard — Optional guided configuration
  • Empty dashboard — Ready for you to create your first agent

5.2 Dashboard Overview

6.1 Access Profile Settings

  1. Click your name/avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Settings" or "Profile"

6.2 Profile Information

Complete your profile with:

6.3 Notification Preferences

Configure how you receive notifications:

  • Email notifications — For important updates
  • Call summaries — After each agent conversation
  • Weekly reports — Analytics digest

Alternative Sign-Up Methods

Google Sign-In

  1. Click "Sign in with Google"
  2. Select your Google account
  3. Authorize Hanc.AI access
  4. Complete phone verification (still required)

Benefits:

  • No password to remember
  • Faster login process
  • Secure OAuth authentication

Account Security

Password Management

To change your password:

  1. Go to SettingsProfile
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password (twice)
  5. Save changes

Forgot Password?

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter your email
  4. Check your inbox for reset link
  5. Click link and create new password

Password reset links expire after 1 hour.

Session Security

  • Sessions last for 5 days
  • Logging out clears your session
  • Use incognito/private browsing on shared computers

Troubleshooting Registration

"Email already registered"

Cause: You or someone used this email before.

Solutions:

  1. Try logging in instead
  2. Use "Forgot Password" to recover access
  3. Use a different email address

"Phone number already used"

Cause: This phone was used for another account.

Solutions:

  1. Use a different phone number
  2. Contact support if this is your number

"Verification code invalid"

Cause: Code expired or entered incorrectly.

Solutions:

  1. Request a new code
  2. Enter the code quickly (codes expire in 10 minutes)
  3. Check for typos

"Registration failed"

Cause: Technical issue or validation error.

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page and try again
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Contact support if issue persists
